I came in a wheelchair and with therapy help I walk out on my own.Great rehabilitation, activitys kept us busy, would recommend to anyone and everyone love my time there.

Overall experience was good considering the changes that took place during my stay. Paying for transportation to and from doctor visits was pricey. Not offering out patient re-hab was very disappointing. The staff and doctors were very nice.Thank You, Treva Gibson

I dont always know first and last names but some very helpful and special caregivers at NHTC are Lashein Bates, “Jay”, Antoinette, Savannah and more who are compassionant.

We absolutely love the facility and all the staff. They take great care of my grandma and it feels like home every time we visit. Highly recommend!

Shout out to Sonia for her quick attention to Mom’s needs! She sweet and helpful and patient with Mom as well as with our family. The staff is all very caring and interested in our experience. Sonia stands out. She has taught me so much during our first experience in a skilled nursing facility. I need to add to the list of service providers who have been so kind and helpful with us. Mom has been here now since January 7 and she is improving everyday. Our goal of returning home is in sight thanks to Monica, Iffy, Q, and Cheynette all go above and beyond in care assistance. The Nurses Kevin, Danielle and Ashley, and Marta are committed and bring their own personality and best judgement in caring for us. The Nurse Practitioner inspires confidence when we consult with her. She has helped us understand the ordeal this situation can be. I have realized this career path is challenging and kindness to each other is necessary. Thank you to everyone at North Houston Transitional Care!

I would like to give a shout out to some of the employees here for their hard work. Martha, Monica, Sabina, Chris, Brittany and Phong. These people work very hard and always have a smile on their face. I had a great time doing bingo with Sabina and meeting new people. The food was always fantastic and appetizing. The dining room staff was also attentive with my needs.

My son was admitted to North Houston Transitional Care for rehab. He is special needs and nonverbal. The nurses and staff treated my son with dignity and respect and were always there for his needs. The food was excellent and the cleaning staff were attentive. Also his PT and OT therapist were excellent with him they knew just how far to push him to get his strength back. I would recommend this facility for your loved ones.

This is a wonderful facility with a great staff. Sabina the activities director does wonderful decorations for the holidays and keeps patients busy with activities and games. Bingo twice weekly, group meeting and church services. Many veterans residents and remembrance here.Veterans day bbq with hot dogs and hamburgers were a treat. Medical staff are very interested in your care and needs. Administration are very attentive to making sure procedures and medical needs are met and exceeded. Nursing and CNA’S are polite, friendly and attentive to details

I’m a current resident at NHTC who would love to share my experience here. I would like to start by saying that they have a great group of employees that treat me and other residents with the up most respect and compassion. They are very professional and dedicated to their work and ensure all of our needs are met. The attention they give to details have been very appreciated and notice all the hard work they put into their roles. I would also like to give these certain employees a special shout out for going above and beyond, Kiara, Lauren, Dee Dee, Blake, Yadira, Sabina and Christian. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone needing rehab

Great Physical and Occupational Therapy! Many competent and friendly staff members. Sabina does a nice job as the Activity Coordinator for the Rehab. and Assisted Living residents.

I believe that Tish the lady who makes our meals are absolutely delicious and make sure have clean sheets as well the daughter Christian sweet little girl who helps with my family Social Security was very impressive and true caring person ” they are the BEST EVER ” being able to take care of the in the way the do thefe job while making everyone happy is nice to see that they have not forgotten there humanity and kidness to others ..

Sabina is a fantastic activities director she always makes the facility look so nice with her decorations and gives me a personal invitation to all activities which makes me feel special. Brooks the DON has been very welcoming and attentive to my care. Sincerely, Terry King

This is my second time here in 5 months and this has been a very pleasant facility that has helped me with all my needs. The food is great which is a plus. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone

My mother has been a resident for almost 2 years. We have been very happy with everything. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I am here now. 3 days. Today sat 10 jan 26. VA SHOULD REMOVE THIS PLACE. HAD stroke rehab has been siting eliptical . 20 minutes assisted walking. Back to room.same next day. Service has no standard. Asked 4 times for water face to face once pushed button. Bleeding now Nurse came in checked sugar left came back with insulin shot. Asked For bandage. Tried putting paper towel on it. Small scratch but bleeding on cloths towel sheet Seemed nice but hasn’t returned. Showers tue and sat only. Food frozen microwaved eatable but not good. Sugar level not good due to bad food. Just give more insulin. Every time I have clicked button has been very long wants. Tv sucks too gotta pay for subscription or watch tube, freetv etc. No local livejust clips. Please do not send loved ones here VA removefrom list. Stroke recovery. Miserable. Would just about prefer to die

There is little to no communication between shifts, staff to family. Staff allowed an ambulance transfer 2 hours earlier than scheduled for my 94 year old mother. The ambulance left her in a waiting room. Alone. I arrived at scheduled time to find her in tears and confusion. Staff doesn’t communicate with family. Staff does not respond to messages left. When I asked about Mom’s bath, a nurse told me that he worked nightshift and he had no idea what day shift did. Baths should be regularly scheduled. Mom cannot feed herself. Staff would bring food and then take the same food away. I could be there only for one meal per day, and she would eat everything. Her water was usually across the room, and I guess if she could walk, that might be ok. 3 of us visited often (at least 2 visits per day). I cannot imagine what happens to residents there who have no family/caregivers.

The facility has been great in terms of establishing a community and engaging residents in daily activities. PT staff is great and patient to engage the residents in motivated safe exercises. It’s important to advocate for your family who is living there to stay on top of meds and doctor visits. Really enjoyed a lot of the staff who have helped take care of my grandpa. Chris, Alfred, Phun and Blake from PT. Brittany from speech therapy. And Sabina making sure we’re comfortable and creating a welcoming environment to engage in daily activities for even my grandma who visits my grandpa daily. Ashanti was very caring and meticulous in giving proper hygiene and general daily care.

North Houston Transitional Care has repeatedly gone above and beyond the call of duty to help my loved one. The leadership and staff are responsive and professional. I highly recommend this facility.

Absolutely RIDICULOUS!! How they are in the Healthcare industry is beyond me! My Mom has been there since Thursday afternoon 12/18 and never saw a Doctor until today 12/21. She was in horrific pain when I arrived and she told me had been that way every 10 minutes since 4 am. Upon me arriving I realized how bad she was and called EMS to take to Hospital. Out of nowhere a Man appeared and asked what he could do? I asked who he was to which he replied “Manager on Duty” . I said no need as we are on our way to Hospital as my Mom has been neglected for 3 days. He replied stating “my Elderly Dad is here and has had no issues”. Of course he hasn’t…he’s your Dad!!

Such an amazing facility. Their staff is very attentive and very detailed to each resident and helped me with all my needs. They have a great therapy department. Their speech, OT and PT therapists are phenomenal (Phong, PT, Jeanelle OTA and Brittany, SLP). Their nurses and cna are extremely kind and helpful when asked to do something. Would highly recommend this facility for anyone needing a skilled nursing facility.

NHTC is a great facility. While they aren’t perfect you can tell that the nursing staff truly care for their residents. There have been some bumps along the way however they were address timely. My uncle has been in two other facilities and this is by far the best yet. You don’t get the feeling that they’re just their for a check(if you know what I mean). The housekeepers ensured the room and hallways were clean and no foul odors lingered. And the rehab team is exceptional! Shout out to Blake! This place is headed in the right direction, I would most definitely recommend this team!

This facility has a beautiful and clean assisted living. Nursing staff are very helpful and friendly.

This place is amazing. Not only is the facility spotless and the accommodations spacious and well-designed, the staff are genuinely interested in how residents are feeling. The activities are well-planned, the meals are tasty and generous, and the professionalism is evident at every turn. My mom has been there for two months now and every time we visit she mentions how sweet everyone is and how comfortable she is.

This is such a wonderful facility. They take such good care of my brother and the other residents here. They make everyone feel welcomed. I would highly recomend this facility for anyone
